Short answers.

Do I need to sign up to try it?

No. Open any widget and build it. You add an email, or sign in with Google, only when you publish it and want the code. No card, ever, for the free plan.

Will it work on my website?

If you can paste code, yes: WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, Framer or plain HTML. On WordPress you can also install the DreamWidget plugin from the WordPress plugin directory.

Does it slow my site down?

No. The widget loads on its own after your page, from a global network.

What does the free plan include?

Any 2 widgets, each shown up to 300 times a month. At 300 a widget pauses until the 1st of the next month. A paid plan's widgets have no view limit, and every paid plan adds one more widget on these free terms.

Can it look different on phones?

Yes. You edit two screens, Desktop and Mobile, and every setting can be different on each. A tablet follows the desktop design.
